Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Hearth & Health is designed specifically for adults 60+ who want to feel stronger, steadier, and more capable — whether you’re active already or starting from scratch. Every program begins with an in-home assessment to ensure the approach is safe, appropriate, and aligned with where the body is today. This is why the Stair-Step Method is essential. Strength, balance, and confidence are developed progressively — never rushed.
-
Most gyms and trainers focus primarily on exercise. While movement is essential, it is only one piece of the longevity puzzle. Hearth & Health takes a step-by-step, whole-body approach — addressing inflammation, nutrition, stress, sleep, and strength in the correct order, so the body is truly prepared to benefit from exercise.
-
Online programs are not tailored to individual health history, recovery capacity, or lifestyle. Hearth & Health provides in-home, one-on-one guidance rooted in longevity science and real-world function — not trends.
-
Yes. Safety is foundational. Strength training is adapted to each individual, and progress only happens once the body is prepared. The goal is to build strength, mobility, and resilience — not push through pain. Additionally, for those regaining function after surgery, illness, or a hospital stay, Hearth and Health is a complement to physical therapy and accelerates recovery.
-
The Stair-Step Reset is an 8-week program that combines the Stair-Step Method with guided, in-home strength training. It is designed to calm chronic inflammation, rebuild strength, and support long-term independence for adults 60 and beyond. Each session is approximately 60 minutes and includes: 30 minutes of strength training, balance, and mobility tailored to current ability and 30 minutes applying the Stair-Step Method — addressing inflammation, nutrition, stress, and sleep. This structure ensures progress is both physical and sustainable.
-
Each session is reserved exclusively for one client to ensure personalized attention and safety. Couples or multiple clients are scheduled separately.
-
Because sessions involve travel and routing, last-minute cancellations or reschedules cannot be accommodated. In rare, true emergencies, one missed session may be made up at the discretion of Hearth and Health.
-
Currently servicing Brentwood, Franklin, Thompson’s Station, and Spring Hill, Tennessee. Service areas continue to expand as scheduling allows.
-
Many clients choose to continue with ongoing in-home sessions to maintain strength, mobility, and confidence. Options include once- or twice-weekly support, depending on individual goals.
